The world started a new year on January 1st. The Chinese started their new year on February 17th. Muslims began Ramadan, their holiest month, on Feb 17th. These are all new beginnings. As we all start our new years at different times - whenever your start is - make it a reset. Plan for better, demand more of yourself and for yourself. Give before you receive, understand before you judge and love both yourself and others. We will all walk a journey of life that is sometimes sweet and other times sour. We will meet people who are fully raised and some in adult bodies who still need raising, who are hurt and looking to be weapons of mass destruction. Be the former. Protect yourself and ensure you do not fall in the latter category. Take time and sacrifice to invest in your development so that you are more of a depositor than a withdrawer. Nothing worthwhile comes easy, but it is worth the sacrifice. An open hand receives more than a closed hand. A kind approach gets more blessings than challenges. Not always, but mostly. We are our brothers' keepers but we must fill our own tanks so we are equipped to pour into others. As new beginnings start - let's focus on self development and investment but also on bringing others up as we rise. It makes us better. No entitlement, no anger, no grudges but kindness and justness. This should be the year of investing in self and others. Let's be better and if not, do no harm.
